It’s Trick-or-Treat time, and for many, the night will be marked by a variety of traditions, while for others, it will go unrecognized.

I have an essential word of warning for those who will be out on the streets tonight, escorting your children in search of the coveted candy.

Now I’m not trying to be a Donnie Downer, but please closely supervise your children tonight. There are more child predators among us than you think. And child sexual predators gear up for the annual Halloween affair.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister announced that in July, he launched a Halloween initiative, “Operation Unmasking Predators.” The result: 175 arrests.

My friends, these numbers speak for themselves. 

Sex predators can be anyone, anywhere, anytime.
