Fresh off rumors of additional sexual harassment claims against members of Tallahassee’s legislative corps, comes news of spying and surveillance.
Looking to film anything that might qualify as scandalous in a campaign ad, hidden cameras are showing up in condo hallways known to be frequented by certain lawmakers and their guests, restaurants where they dine nightly and by private eyes stealthily and covertly tailing legislator’s every move.
For decades Tallahassee was known as a sleepy little college town that for a few months of the year hosts the state’s powerful lawmakers and those who wish to influence them.
Well if Las Vegas’ slogan were ever true in our state capitol, what happens in Tallahassee stays in Tallahassee; it appears to be true no more.
With I Phone’s and Androids at the ready, “Spy Gate” is alive and well within the confines of Capital Circle.
