Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats were forced to come out of their “closed-door, secret shadow skiff.” This week’s high-profile floor vote was to save face over their clandestine impeachment inquiry regarding President Trump.
THIS WAS NOT A VOTE TO IMPEACH!
As silly as it is, the vote was only to do what Democrats have already been doing for the last five weeks behind closed doors.
In reality, many House Democrats voting for this inquiry preside in congressional districts President Trump won big in 2016. They’ll be very reluctant to vote later for actual impeachment, as it could cost them their political future.
The question Democrats are betting on: Should a sitting President be removed over a single phone call?
That nation’s response may decide our next President.
