“Start Now to be Proactive in Preventing Alzheimer’s Disease”
Bill Bunkley with Something to Think About
We have heard it for years that sleep, diet, and exercise are not the only key to good health but could have a big impact on the onset of Alzheimer’s.
A new study by the Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at New York-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medical Center give some good daily guidelines for keeping the disease at bay.
Alzheimer’s will develop 20-30 years before the first signs begin so show. How we treat our bodies now can make a difference in our future.
Getting enough sleep, consuming coffee before 2 pm, eating no carbohydrates for up to 12 hours a day and walking or exercising daily is essential.
Alcohol and dairy intake, minerals and vitamins, learning new things, listening to music, prayer, and meditation can have a big impact on your cognitive abilities later in life.
