It’s another Florida Legislative committee week in Tallahassee.

In addition to hundreds of appropriation proposals hoping to gain approval, legislators are considering a diverse menu of proposed bills and presentations.

Some of the issues I am monitoring on behalf of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission this week in the Florida House include a presentation on recreational marijuana use in an Oregon/Idaho high-intensity drug trafficking area, a rewrite of the fireworks statute and adoption benefits.

In the Florida Senate, a presentation on gender dysphoria, issues including assisted living facilities, child abuse, childcare facilities, independent living, elder abuse, foster care, and hemp production will keep me busy.  

And this is only the beginning.
