Are we going to have another political Christmas Eve, like the one in 2009?
That was the year the Democrat-controlled Senate single-handedly voted to give us Obamacare.
This Christmas it could be the Republicans and their signature “Do or Die” Tax Reform package.
That’s because the Senate is now up to bat with their plan and the political clock is ticking for Republicans to DO SOMETHING….ANYTHING, with very few actual working days left this year to get it done.
Therein lies the million dollar question. Will we see good tax policy from one the heaviest lobbied bills in recent history? Or are we going to get another special interest, politically expedient, falsely named bill like the Christmas 2009 “Affordable Care Act”?
This time it is the Republicans and to me it’s looking like Déjà vu all over again.
I sincerely hope I am wrong.
