Fresh polling indicates that the House Democrats' months-long impeachment gambit is not going to change American sentiment towards President Trump.
If you preferred Trump before impeachment, you still will afterward. If you hated Trump before impeachment, nothing would change.
That is confirmed by a poll taken by Siena College Research and New York Times Upshot, where 81% of voters said there is little or no chance they will change their minds because of the House Impeachment Inquiry. 89% of voters who voted for Trump “strongly opposed impeachment”.
Notwithstanding, I believe House Democrats run a high risk of being negatively looked upon as the Republicans found themselves back in 1999 after President Bill Clinton’s impeachment, even though Clinton was found guilty.
