The other day I was opening up my latest print edition of the Tampa Bay Times. Because of the issues I follow, I am one of the few conservatives who follow the times’ news coverage and opinions.
Having said that, I had picked up the phone to call the subscription customer service line to report that my Section B, The Local & State Edition, was missing.
While on hold, I discovered that the local edition was, in fact, in my possession. I found it on page 3 of the main newspaper section! A standalone Local & State Section B was gone, vanished. Other than the sports and the classified sections, a very thin 16-page newspaper entailed the entire news coverage.
We’ve heard for years about the dying newspaper business.
The evidence of that fact is unfolding before our eyes.
