With some “Black Friday” sales already in full swing before Thanksgiving Day, it was great to see many as 70 to 80 major retail stores reverting back to being closed on Thanksgiving Day itself.
For years I have criticized the lure of retailers, who with their eye-catching “super deals’ on Thanksgiving Day, have served to be a major disruption to family gatherings across the nation.
Many retailers have realized they can make as much over a three-day, weekend blitz, than stretching it out for four days.
Retail employees really enjoy being off with their families.
And now my annual word of caution.
Be aware of special items made just for Black Friday pricing. Look very close at the specs and fine print to be sure you are indeed getting that super screaming deal.
So with that…..happy bargain hunting this weekend!
