4.65 million fellow Floridians are expected to travel on our roadways, according to AAA estimates. Nationally, 81 million people will travel more than 50 miles from home.

31 million Americans are expected to fly to a Thanksgiving destination.

That means the two (P’s) are essential for your travel sanity: planning and patience.

Choosing the best time to drive is a wise choice.

For Tuesday, travel before 12:00 PM. For Wednesday, travel before 11:00 AM. For Friday before 11:00 AM, Saturday before 10:00 AM, Sunday before 11:00 AM, and Monday after 8:00 PM.

Other times of day are the worst to be on the roads.

Expect others to be selfishly darting in and out of traffic.

It's more important to get to your destination safely than in record time.
