Today the shopping continues. Today is Cyber Monday.
Cyber Monday joins Black Friday and Small Business Saturday as a buying catalyst in the phenomenon created by the nation’s marketeers.
Cyber Monday became a part of the American experience in 2005. The National Retail Federation began the marketing campaign to motivate consumers to shop online, not just at stores on Black Friday.
Last year Americans spent more than $870 billion online. It is the biggest e-commerce day in America. A drop in business productivity is always suspected on this day as many employees shop online while at their office desks.
Be careful about that incredible bargain you are considering today. Among the screaming deals, some items are deeply discounted to make room for next year’s products.
Beware of the many online scams out there.
