“Seminoles Scalped by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee”

Bill Bunkley’s “This Is Something to Think About”

Air Date Tuesday, December 5, 2023

This College Football playoff weekend turned out to be a thrilling Saturday.

After a long season, there are winners and losers. It’s up to the current playoff referees, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee, to decide which four teams play for the National Championship.

Their decision will be debated forever.

In the end, the Florida State Seminoles got scalped to 5th place because of a perception they were a weaker team with the earlier season-ending injury to standout quarterback Jordon Travis.

It mattered not in the judge’s eyes that the Noles won the ACC Championship 16-6 over Louisville to finish undefeated at 13-0.

Alabama and Texas, both with one loss apiece, got in.

So, there’ll be no David & Goliath storyline in this year’s championship, which is an absolute heartbreak for Nole players, coaches, and fans.
