Senator Al Franken will be resigning from the U. S. Senate.

But did Senator Franken’s 36 fellow Senate Democrats suddenly deem him a sacrificial lamb, placed on the altar of political expedience for future considerations?

As the country witnesses a widespread “pruning” of power players who used their lofty positions to harass sexually, might there be in some cases additional motivations for some of the actions we see?

I ask these questions because Franken’s resignation is all the buzz inside the Beltway.

Senate Democrat’s circled the wagons overnight to oust Franken.

Could it be that Senate Democrats have additional plans and strategy as they await the expected arrival of Republican Judge Roy Moore should he be elected?

And consider Franken may still be in the Senate if and when Judge Roy Moore is sworn in.

Is a Democrat trap set and waiting for the GOP?
