The Florida House Health Quality Subcommittee heard testimony regarding recreational marijuana.

Ray Padilla cited Colorado’s Rocky Mountain High-Intensity Drug Area Report, with statistics, since legalizing pot in 2012.

There are more Colorado pot shops than McDonalds or Starbucks. Fatal accidents, impaired driving incidents, youth use, college use, adult-use, ER hospital visits, and public-school arrests regarding pot use are all up.

Tourists travel to Colorado just to buy and use pot. Denver convention business is off. Why? Businesses are going to other convention cities because too many convention attendees were getting high and skipping the meetings.

Certainly, there are a host of considerations we should consider before voting to allow recreational marijuana.
