“Is The Federal Reserve Really Ready to Cut Interest Rates”

In one of the most highly anticipated meetings and the final one of the year for the Federal Reserve in 2023, Fed Governors decided to hold key interest rates steady for the third straight time. This pause may be the beginning of a further move in 2024 to begin the process of lowering interest rates if the economy continues to cool down.  

The move follows 11 rate hikes that pushed the Fed funds rate to its highest level in more than 22 years, triggered by the excess COVID relief and stimulus dollars pumped into the economy, artificially overheating our economy with inflation.

And don’t forget the disastrous unpaid Federal deficit of over $31 trillion, a debt that will be strapped on our children and future generations.   

So, is the Fed ready to cut interest rates? 

Stay tuned; we may see up to three rate cuts in 2024.
