I have never attended the opening night of a Stars Wars movie release until The Last Jedi. Our attendance was in recognition of my son’s Zach’s birthday wish which happened to fall on Thursday.

Our early arrival afforded an opportunity to witness grown men and women arriving ready for the action in their Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia costumes. I must admit I kept looking for the arrival of my favorite, a Stormtrooper, but that never happened.

So you might be wondering right now why I am talking about this.

It is because America is long overdue for a diversion right about now.

We’re all pretty burned out about elections, Fake News, the NFL and the rogue regimes of North Korea and Iran.

I recommend taking a time out to see our old friends Mark Hamill and the late Carrie Fisher.

And yes, it’s a good one.
