Nine months ago I was going about my life in Tallahassee like I had for so many years. The Florida legislative session was in full swing, and I was busy on the air and lobbying for Christian worldview values.
That’s when God let me know He had a different plan for my life. The day before Good Friday, I learned I had leukemia.
That diagnosis triggered three rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
It was a devastating disruption and an unforeseen bend in the road.
But let’s be honest. Disruptions are a part of life.
How you and I embrace a major disruption is key. I’m so thankful I had a personal relationship with the Lord BEFORE my cancer diagnosis, for that relationship made all the difference in the world.
