It’s a bit of a “déjà vu” across America as we approach another huge Christmas vote.
Last time it was Christmas Eve 2009 when Senate Democrats passed so-called healthcare reform, later known as Obamacare. Not a single Republican voted with them.
Now it’s Christmas 2017 and Congressional Republicans led by the House, to be followed by the Senate, will vote to pass legislation that will roll out a huge tax reform package. In a reversal from 2009, not a single Democrat is expected to vote for the bill unless in a vulnerable district.
Remember the old proverb “what goes around comes around?”
The only difference this time is that President Trump may get to sign the bill into law before Christmas.
And that would indeed cap off a most remarkable first year for The Donald!
