It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings lay hung by the chimney with care, hoping St. Nicholas would soon be there.

It’s Christmas Eve, and Clement Clark Moore’s ageless story takes us all back to our childhood innocence.

Today’s woke world is so different, so strange from the one we grew up in. But there’s still peace, comfort, and anticipation this night before Christmas if we can dial back the unimportant nonsense surrounding our lives.

Above all, consider the children’s innocence tonight as they anticipate the arrival of Christmas.

And note that the same childhood innocence is a virtue we big kids should also embrace in our adult lives.
