I’m Bill Bunkley and This Is Something To Think About.

It’s the day after Christmas and if Black Friday was an indication of “retail fever” lurking out there, I suspect we’ll be seeing it will be back in action today.

Yes, the call to the mall is in full swing.

But I am very curious to see if all this gift spending is triggered by a better economy, because people feel like they have more money to spend…

Or is it because people think we’re about to go over the fiscal cliff, and that things will never be better for a long, long time so let’s just eat, drink and be merry and put it all on plastic, just as Washington does.

Sadly, I think our federal government has been teaching us this myth by example for way too long of a time now.

Enjoy the shopping but don’t overdo it.

It’s still wise to plan for the possible rainy days ahead.
