Attorney General Jeff Sessions took bold action to clean house by removing 46 former chief federal prosecutors; the kind of house cleaning President Donald Trump should be conducting with all political appointees of the Obama Administration.
There is great suspicion throughout Washington about an alleged “shadow government” put in place during the final weeks of Obama’s Presidency by loyal liberal bureaucrats.
It’s without question that Washington is rife with literally thousands of federal employees at all levels that are very committed to sustaining a big, bloated, central government. And Trump’s threats about his intention to drain the swamp and quite possibly eliminate their jobs is certainly motive enough for them to join the so-called “resistance.”
President Trump has a daunting challenge to out maneuver bureaucratic saboteurs at all levels.
And he is showing that he is all about just that.
