Moving into 2018 means optimism for half of the country that identifies with the color red.

Conservatives look forward to seeing just how “tax reform cuts” will impact their family’s bottom line.

Corporations will begin the repatriation of offshore dollars back into the US. Manufacturing, research and development expansion should lure Americans off the couch and government welfare back into the workforce with higher paying jobs. 

But for the blue half of the nation, depression that President Trump remains in office forecasts a gloomy 18.

And leave it to CNN, the Cannabis News Network, to usher in 2018 by further stigmatizing both suburban areas and flyover states with controversial New Year’s Eve coverage including the on-air “toking” of a joint repeatedly reported by Randi Kaye.

No doubt a divided America in 2018 is heading for even deeper divisions.
