It is time for 40 Florida State Senators and 140 Florida House Members to travel to Tallahassee from all corners of the state for Tuesday’s opening day of the 60-day regular session of the Florida Legislature.

I’ll also be packing up and heading north on behalf of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission for my 28th year as your Watchman on the Wall promoting, opposing, or monitoring issues important to our Christian conservative worldview.

We’ll also broadcast The Bill Bunkley Show live on weekdays from 3 to 6 pm when I’m at the state capitol.

This session is already shaping up with many issues of concern for both Christians and conservatives. Check-in with us each afternoon to know what your elected legislature members are up to and the information you need to know to voice your opinion.

Bill Bunkley is an 18-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays across central Florida from 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Convention Churches), among other churches and entities. He has served as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention for the last 28 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee. By the Grace of his Lord Jesus, he is today a cancer survivor diagnosed in 2018 with AML Leukemia, having successfully undergone a bone marrow transplant that same year. His wife is Toni, son is Zac, and they attend Idlewild Baptist Church.
