It was a beautiful winter morning in Tallahassee yesterday as legislators, their families, guests, and lobbyists gathered for the start of the 2022 Annual Legislative Session.

Also in attendance were members of the national press to cover the day’s main event: the State of the State address by Governor Ron DeSantis.

Governor DeSantis went down his list of accomplishments for the last year and his plans for this session. He’s fought to keep our state open for business and new residents, and despite the raging COVID plague, the Florida economy is strong, and the state has a budget surplus.

Of note was DeSantis’ discussion of his early championing of COVID Monoclonal treatments, which is now the national protocol.

I look forward to the session’s next 60 days setting the pace for Florida’s future.
