“No Pharmacy Abortions in Florida”

The latest controversy in the abortion battle is the intent of CVS, Walgreens, and other pharmacies to dispense abortion pills nationwide. That comes after the U. S Supreme Court Dobbs case overturned Roe v Wade and returned abortion regulation to each of the fifty states.

But some states have quickly restricted abortions, including our State of Florida.

Now Florida’s Agency for HealthCare Administration has sent a letter to all healthcare entities reminding them that pharmacies prescribing and delivering abortion pills in our state are illegal.

Only a physician in Florida can terminate a pregnancy, not your local pharmacist.

And that is probably not all that our state legislature and the governor will have to say about abortion in 2023.

More restrictions may be on the way in this upcoming legislative session.
