“Trump Triumph in New Hampshire”

Bill Bunkley’s “This Is Something to Think About”

Air Date Friday Thursday, January 25, 2024

The Granite State of New Hampshire handed former President Donald Trump victory number two in the 2024 Republican Presidential Nomination race.

If you think this was just a contest between Trump and former Governor Nikki Haley among the state’s Republicans, you would be wrong.

It is one of those states where a Republican primary isn’t a Republican primary.

It’s a free-for-all where Democrats and Independents all pile in and vote for the Republican candidate. In a Fox News breakdown analysis late election evening, Haley’s numbers heavily included Democrats who voted for her in the primary to hurt the results for Trump.

Still, Trump beat Haley by double digits.

Looking ahead, Trump had a decisive 30-point lead in Haley’s home state of South Carolina before the Iowa caucus.

She may find herself very embarrassed in her own home state.
