Governor Ron DeSantis, who’s gaining the reputation as a modern-day Eveready Bunny, announced major education and deregulation reform plans.

First up, the last remnants of a very controversial federally centered education program, Common Core, will be gone in Florida, eliminated by the stroke of DeSantis’ executive order pen. 

Former Speaker of the Florida House, Richard Corcoran, will lead the education reform effort.

Second, the governor hosted an Orlando “Deregulation” forum promising to cut state red tape regulations that hamper and put up unnecessary roadblocks to Florida citizens entering into a new profession or starting a new business. 

Governor DeSantis believes cutting red tape will strengthen Florida’s economy.

He’s right and “right on” regarding both initiatives.
