After months of planning, COVID-19 tweaking, more planning, and more COVID19 tweaking, the time has finally arrived for Tampa Bay to take center stage before a worldwide audience.
What a wild seesaw it's been going back to March of 20. Back then, there were a few moments we wondered if there would even be an NFL season, let alone a Super Bowl LV in Tampa.
But fast forward, and here we are. Not only are we hosting the Super Bowl, but Tom Brady and company have defied all the odds and have our Bucs in the big show.
From our volunteer greeters at Tampa International to what I saw at the NFL Experience, Team Tampa hasn’t missed a beat.
If our boys keep the Lombardi Trophy in Tampa, history will note a truly Cinderella Season, a part of NFL lore forever.

Bill Bunkley is a 15-year veteran Salem Radio talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
