I was up early at the state capitol in Tallahassee for the 7:00 AM Annual Florida House Chaplain’s prayer breakfast when the text came of Dr. Billy Graham’s home going.

It came on the same day hurting students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School came to Tallahassee to engage their state lawmakers.

I could not stop thinking about what Dr. Graham would say to them here had he been alive and preaching today.

Dr. Graham, a steadfast Christ follower, was a uniter, not a divider. He was a trusted advisor to numerous American Presidents.

Graham’s simple message and offertory, heard by millions around the globe to accept Christ as your personal Savior, never changed.

And to those of us who worked on his Tampa crusades, we will forever remember he and his team’s eternal, lasting legacy.
