“Governor DeSantis Targets 14 School Board Members in 2024”
A growing problem in Florida is the infiltration of “woke ideology” in our public schools.
To combat the expanding leftist indoctrination, Governor Ron DeSantis has targeted 14 school board members across the state for defeat in 2024 who “do not protect parental rights and have failed to protect students from woke ideology.”
Targeted school board members the Governor wishes to defeat in the August 2024 elections now serve on school boards in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota, Miami-Dade, Volusia, and Indian River counties.
In support of Governor DeSantis, Florida House Speaker Paul Renner is reported to state that our children’s education is a no-fail mission, and his priority will also be on those focused on the latest ideological trends.
I support the Governor. How our children are taught is a must-win battle.
Bill Bunkley is a 17-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays across central Florida from 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Convention Churches), among other churches and entities.
