“Now What Time Is It Down In Florida?”

Bill Bunkley With Something To Think About.

Now what time is it down in Florida?

That’s a question that will be repeated million times if Governor Rick Scott and later the Congress approve Florida House Bill 858, the “Sunshine Protection Act.”

The bill is awaiting Governor Scott’s decision; if Scott and the Congress say yes, Florida’s clock will spring forward permanently by one hour.

Day Light Saving Time in Florida springs forward by one hour this Sunday at 2:00 AM.

At 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 4th, Florida time is scheduled to fall back an hour.

Currently, only two states, Arizona and Hawaii, do not adhere to Daylight Savings Time.

Florida would be the only state in the union to stay ahead an hour during the non-Daylight Saving period.

And imagine during that time keeping track of all the airline departure and arrival times.
