“School Choice for All”
The Family Empowerment Scholarship Program is one bill before the Florida legislature that will shake up public education if passed.
SB 202 and HB 1 would make school choice available to most families.
Parents fed up with some public school teachers and school districts who are more interested in teaching their children about sex and “woke” ideology than reading, writing, and arithmetic.
This bill would allow parents to obtain a private or home-school education voucher.
Now there is a snag with the legislation. For it to be acceptable for Christians, it must be amended to include Religious Liberty protections.
1st Amendment Religious Freedom protections must be codified in the bill with accommodation for a Christian worldview. If not, Christian schools and homeschoolers should refrain from using the vouchers.
