A Christian street preacher was removed by London’s Metropolitan Police who admit they did so because they didn’t agree with the message the Preacher was delivering.
Now let me state that I don’t agree nor condone street preachers who use bull horns, harsh rhetoric or “You are going to Hell” signs. -
That doesn’t spread the Gospel; it severely hinders it.
Hypocritically, London has the world famous open-air public speaking area called “Speakers Corner” in historic Hyde Park, where anybody can publically deliver any message.
Now that the police have admitted their illegal actions against the street preacher, he is back at his post.
And why did this story interest me?
My grandfather, Ira Smith, many years ago was among other things a street preacher in Missoula, Montana.
