Today is Good Friday, and for Christians, it is a time when many will reexamine their dedication to the Lord.             

Yesterday, Christians remembered Maundy Thursday, the foot washing and last supper of Jesus Christ, His overnight arrest, persecution, and illegal trial that led to His death by crucifixion.  

Today is Good Friday when Jesus spent 6 hours nailed to a Roman cross before succumbing to the Roman torture. Sunday, Christians will celebrate his glorious resurrection.

It’s alarming how much our culture has pulled away from our Judeo-Christian roots. The farther the culture drifts away, the more life’s peace and joy are diminished.

Consider what this Holy Week and today’s Good Friday are all about and the implications for your life.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for Your shed blood on the cross, providing forgiveness for our sins.
