“No Need For A Costly Special Session For Gambling”

Florida newspapers are circulating some spin that all of a sudden there’s an emergency reason to spend your hard earned taxpayer dollars on an expensive special legislative session on gambling.

That’s right on gambling!

Drag back up to Tallahassee all 40 members of the Florida Senate and 120 members of the Florida House at a price tag of almost $70,000 a day just to have another bite of the apple on potential gambling expansion before voters decide on taking back take control of gambling expansion in November.    

Claims are Seminole gambling compact revenue will go away because of expiration of a court-ordered consent agreement between the tribe and Governor Scott on Mar 31st.

Instead of ratifying the fix, some legislators killed it by insisting on other gambling expansion to the bill.    

Since the Seminoles stated they are not stopping their payments, call your legislators and say no to a waste of taxpayer dollars on a special gambling session.

Deal with it during next year’s regular session.
