While our focus is understandably on the mounting numbers of COVID-19 cases, many other subplots are well in the making during this crisis.

The new normal will not be the normal we left behind just a few weeks ago. Our lives will forever change in many ways, beginning with personal hygiene.

But I would also maintain that another subplot of the contagion is the coming electronic revolution in America, once this emergency has passed.

Facebook, Twitter and Zoom online video services have transformed everyday life.

Gone is the snail mail letter, the Pony Express, the Telegraph, the party line phone, and the private line phone. With the warp speed of the COVID-19 paradigm reset in communication, a Zoom online video meeting of everything will be part of our new norm.
