“Trump’s Liberation Day Reset Jolts American Stock Markets”

President Trump took to the White House Rose Garden Wednesday to roll out his much-anticipated reciprocal tariff schedule. Rather than impose a full parity dollar-for-dollar tariff on most countries, the benevolent President imposed only half the amount of a country’s unfair trade advantage with the U.S.

In a moment of revelation, the President presented a chart outlining the trade advantages several countries have over the United States. Cambodia ranked first in the category of the most enormous unfair trade imbalance, with a 97% advantage.

The trade war is on, and our stock markets are taking a significant hit, subtracting value from investors’ portfolios for now.

Now is the time to remember the wisdom of “No pain, no gain”.

Readjusting trade imbalances is painful. In the long run, we’ll be more profitable and competitive in world markets.
