“Get Ready: A Rough Hurricane Season Could Be Ahead”

As we continue to witness extreme weather patterns nationally and globally, Colorado State University's annual hurricane report warns of an extremely active season.
This year's perfect hurricane setup includes a hot Atlantic Ocean, which provides jet fuel for major hurricanes, and a cooler-than-normal eastern and central Pacific Ocean, known as the La Nina effect.
The prediction calls for 23 named storms, 11 of which will become hurricanes. Five major hurricanes could develop. A major hurricane is defined as a Category 3 or above, with a minimum sustained winds of 115 mph.
It could be one of the most active hurricane seasons on record!
Governor DeSantis is expected to sign legislation for two disaster preparedness sales tax holidays: June 1 to June 14 and August 24 to September 6.
