“Concerning Trends in Church Attendance”

Bill Bunkley with Something to Think About

The Gallop organization has a long-standing tradition of tracking faith and church attendance in America. Their most recent analysis indicate a concerning trend in church attendance. After recording church attendance above 70% in America for decades, the latest findings show a drop to only 47%.

Demographics indicate millennials and Gen Xers are the most prominent groups driving attendance down, while Baby Boomers and older remain at stabilized rates.

Plus 9 out of 10 “Nones” that say they believe in God but do not necessarily pray nor attend church.

For Christians, church attendance is required. The 10th chapter, the 25th verse of the book of Hebrews, instructs Christians not to forsake church attendance.

It’s time to get back to church.

Pray for a post-pandemic revival.
