The invisible invasion of America by COVID-19 has changed everything. It is hard to imagine that a tiny microscopic organism has brought the United States to its knees.
The “Land of the Free” isn’t looking very free in some areas. To some in power, it’s as if our Constitutionally guaranteed Civil Liberties have ceased to exist.
Reasonable, temporary, generally and evenly applied emergency social distancing is one thing.
But a Kentucky Mayor’s order to ban drive-up churches, or Michigan’s order detailing what a resident can and cannot buy, is a dangerous infringement on our civil liberty.
Orders like these left unchecked would signal a dangerous turn for our American way of life.
