Colorado, “The Centennial State,” always seems to have unusual ways and cultural distinctions that contradict the rest of America.
Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, I have discovered, has decided to put illegal aliens at the front of the line for the city’s services to the detriment of her long-time legal citizens.
Mayor Johnston proposes taking $45 million of taxpayers’ dollars to fund programs supporting the burgeoning number of illegal aliens in his city.
But that’s not all; he’s doing it in part by cutting his police budget by $8 million to redistribute those funds to who he calls “newcomers.”
This is NOT how to run a major city.
WalletHub ranked Denver near the bottom of their list of cities for safety, 169 out of 182.
It seems to me that the mayor is competing to drag Denver to the very bottom of the WalletHub list of safe cities.
