Governor Ron DeSantis has put together a task force to advise him on steps for reopening Florida for business.
The Task Force is to quickly develop a three-phase plan to get the state back to work, including short, medium- and long-term timelines.
The Governor is not wasting a moment as he will require the task force to report back to him with recommendations on the short-term phase this Friday.
The current Florida Stay-at-home order expires on April 30th. The pressure is on to define the state’s next step.
The key is to reopen while safety restrictions keep Floridians safe. The issue to watch is which businesses and what order they will be phased in to resume operations.
And I’m sure discontent will follow by those employees and businesses not included in phase one.

Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities.
