I’m Bill Bunkley with Something To Think About.

So why did FBI Director James Comey get fired?

It started when former Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with Bill Clinton while investigating his wife, Hillary. 

Lynch was forced to recuse herself from Hillary’s email investigation.  

That’s when Comey’s identity crisis began.

He began assuming the role of both chief investigator and prosecutor in Lynch’s absence, which led to Comey’s trail of inappropriate public disclosures.   

Then a few days ago Comey testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that he went public with the Clinton email investigation so he would not be viewed as one “concealing” information.

Now concealment is not how to describe the FBI during investigations. Confidentiality, a very different concept, is.

Comey’s ongoing identity crisis is why the Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein advised President Trump to terminate the Director.

Trump took his advice and responded, “You’re Fired.”
