Check your seatbelts, fellow Floridians, as we drive into summer. Your family dollar is going to shrink increasingly with each passing month.
We have already experienced historically high gasoline prices, now averaging $4.50 a gallon across the state.
Food prices are pacing right along with the increases in gas.
Now, your electric bill is next to skyrocket.
With soaring summer temperatures and the humidity that accompanies it, the cost to run your air conditioners is about to spike.
Summer demand will put pressure on energy supplies.
In some areas of the country, we may see rolling blackouts.
Plan now, not later, for ways to further streamline your family budget.
And by all means, avoid living off credit cards. Just as the so-called free stimulus proved not to be free, so too will be future credit card debt.
