Today is the big grand opening day, patrons have been counting down the days for Orlando’s Universal’s new Epic Universe.

Park guests will be dazzled by not just one new experience, but five: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and Celestial Park.

Each experience is an immersive adventure that puts you at the center of the action.

The Universal expansion cost is a cool $7 billion.

But what does the new Universal attractions mean for the other area theme parks?

Disney World attendance may be the most impacted park. As millions want to visit the new Universal 750-acre theme park, it hopes to be no longer one of the also-visited, runner-up attractions to the house of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

With park prices ranging from $119 to $179 per day per person, we’ll see how the summer goes to gauge how Universal performs, as inflation hovers over every family budget.
