What I have witnessed both in Tampa and across America this past weekend, will forever leave a permanent scar deep in the recesses of my soul. Watching the atrocities of pure evil, sinful, destructive anger, fueled by rage and violence, has left me with a feeling of numbness.
A lost and fallen America was on full display.
By day mostly peaceful demonstrators marched against acts of police indifference and needless brutality by some in the ranks. By night shrouded in darkness, cowards emerged with masks to commit the most heinous and cowardly acts imaginable.
Friday night’s scenes outside the White House said it all.
Let me be clear. We are in a state of anarchy.
These are acts of domestic terrorists and must be responded to on equal par as our war on foreign terrorists.
Bill Bunkley is a 14-year veteran Salem Radio Network talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
