“These Are Not the Tools of Peaceful Protest”

Bill Bunkley with Something to Think About

As public demonstrations continue to unfold across America, we are witnessing two narratives.

One narrative is of peaceful dialog, including law enforcement officers kneeling, praying, and seeking a way forward with protestors over the murderous death of George Floyd.

The other narrative is of violence by anarchist rioters, posing as protestors, searching for opportunities to loot, destroy, burn, and violently maim innocent bystanders and business owners.

The main tool of a peaceful protest is free speech that includes a great deal of listening and understanding.

Bricks on wooden pallets, glass bottles, rocks in bags, Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs, and backpacks full of mortars are NOT the tools of peaceful protests.

Let’s be honest; these are tools of violent lawbreakers.
