The Old Grey Lady, that is the New York Times, announced they were no longer going to allow their reporters to appear on CNN or MSNBC. The two cable news outlets have become too partisan for the Times. They didn’t want their readers to think CNN or MSNBC views were indicative of the paper’s perspective.
That’s had me thinking.
The Times has certainly demonstrated their own left leaning prejudice. So why the change?
I think they know something.
I think they’ve done some polling on the 2020 Presidential race and Donald Trump’s chances of winning came out fairly significant. And that has me wondering if the Times is hedging her bets in anticipation of a Trump victory.
That doesn’t mean the Times suddenly loves Trump.
It may just mean they are making a pragmatic business decision.
