“Cuba’s Communist Chinese Spy Base”

Since 2019 Communist China has operated a spy base 90 miles south of Key West, in Cuba. It’s one of numerous listening and information-gathering tools focused on the US. 

The last time Cuba posed a threat was in 1962, when communist dictator Fidel Castro invited the Russians to set up missile bases. 

I remember that time as an elementary school kid here in Tampa, hiding under our school desks in drills in case of a missile attack.

Today China is paying Cuba billions to expand its presence by building a state-of-the-art electronic eavesdropping station.

What’s troubling is the embarrassing lack of an intelligent, effective foreign policy strategy by the Biden Administration that’s opening the door for unprecedented Communist Chinese global influence. 

And that doesn’t bode well for the future of our national security.
