COVID-19 is a dark cloud overhanging America and the globe.
The worldwide economy is still greatly disrupted, and central to getting that economy back up and running is for people to feel they can safely venture out for their normal activities.
Two keys to getting people back out again are one, identifying a drug that effectively treats and cures COVID-19, and two, the discovery of a vaccine to prevent COVID-19.
English researchers report they’ve successfully tested a drug to improve the survival rate of COVID-19 patients.
It’s an existing inexpensive over the counter steroid drug, dexamethasone. In trials, it has reduced death rates up to one third for hospital patients.
Let’s pray this is a first step to containing this disease, with other breakthroughs soon to follow.
